The Traditional Italian Meal is composed of the following dishes: ANTIPASTO (appetizer), PRIMO PIATTO (the first course: a soup, a pasta dish with fresh egg pasta or dried pasta, or a risotto), SECONDO PIATTO (the main course: meat or fish, followed by CONTORNO (the salad or vegetable or polenta), and ending with the DOLCE (dessert) and caffè (ITALIAN COFFEE).

 

Antipasti  (Appetizers): Bruschetta al Pomodoro or Insalata Caprese (Caprese Salad) or Polenta Bianca  White Polenta or Stuffed Tomatoes or Frittata with Onion, Potatoes and Parmisan or Patè di Prosciutto Cotto for Crostini

Primi Piatti  (First course): or a soup (Classic Minestrone in Mama Isa's style) or a fresh egg pasta (Fettuccine or Tagliatelle or Tagliolini...) (Fettuccine with Clam and Mussel in "Cassopipa" style) or a LASAGNA or POTATO GNOCCHI or BAKED PASTA (for the recipe click here)

Dolci (Dessert): Cassata al forno or Crostata dough or Classic Tiramisu or Limoncello Tiramisu or Panna Cotta with Strawberry and Mint leaves or Torta allo Yogurt (Yogurth Cake) or Apple Strudel or Frittelle alla Veneziana (Mama Isa's Fritters in Venetian style).
